Carrying Our Boy

Caleb loves to be carried around in this wrap. It is an insanely long piece of fabric that I tie around myself and strap him in! It is incredibly comfortable and the locals think it is great.

While we were in Thailand, I forgot to bring anything to carry Caleb in. So, I tied this shawl around my shoulders and plopped him in! He like to be carried around my middle, but he didn't care for riding on my hip so much...

We went shopping for fruits and vegetables one day and Caleb giggled and shrieked the entire time! He also hangs out like this with me in the house while I clean things up or make lunch.

Our Trip to Thailand

We had to make an unexpected trip to Thailand at the end of last week. My (Michelle) staph infection returned and got quite bad overnight. We were sent to Bangkok to see an infectious disease specialist. So, we quickly threw some clothes in a bag and left our house at 3 am (by climbing a wall with a sleeping baby because our gate was locked!) to go to the airport and catch the first flight out. We are still in Bangkok waiting on test results and receiving treatment. Caleb has been amazing through all the doctor visits, hospital visits, plane rides, heat (yes it is in the mid 80's here) and constant changes. So, we thought we would share a few photos of our time in Thailand.

"Yes, I would like milk please."

"Dad, you're soooo funny!"

The pediatric unit at this hospital is amazing! This was our doctor's office. Caleb had a very thorough check-up and was pronounced a "strong boy"!

The waiting area was amazing. They had a play zone for older kids with computer games, slides, balls, games, etc. Caleb just had fun watching everyone.

"Mom, see that big building out there? One day I'm gonna build one even bigger!"

Just watching the world with my baby at my side!

"Mom, you've got to come see this green thing over here!"

Are you sure that just 4 short months ago this little boy had just come into the world?!

"Hey mom, how did you get over there?!"

At last - does it get any sweeter than this?! Even in the midst of trials, God shows us all that He has blessed us with. God is good ALL the time.

Friends

This is Jenni, Niang and Caleb. Jenni and her husband Lal are wonderful friends and co-workers of ours in Shillong. Their daughter, Niang, is 2 1/2 years old. Boy does our "little" boy look big next to her! Jenni loves to hold Caleb and take care of him.

Contagious Laughter

As we were riding from the airport to the apartment where we are staying in Bangkok, Caleb was having a great time. He was laughing at everything. I was blowing him kisses and he was cracking up. Unfortunately, I didn't get the camera out until the very end, so you will only see a toned down version of his laughter. However, toned down or not, it is still pretty hilarious!

I'm Ready For the Zoo!

It seems like you always see kids riding around on their fathers' shoulders at the zoo. Caleb was having a great time riding around our kitchen! He was ready for bed but had to make a few trips around the house before he could fall asleep!

Mmmmm....Yummy

Sometimes, he tries to get both fists in his mouth. He shoves his hand in as far as possible - even to the point of gagging himself! He also gets very frustrated when he can't get both fists in at the same time! He will also shove our finger, hands, arms, etc. in if he can.

4 Months

"WOW! It's exciting to turn 4 months old!"

"Oh guys, haven't you taken enough photos yet?!"

"I know, you think I'm too cute for words!"
