Happy Easter...Just a tad bit late!

We had a wonderful Easter fellowshipping with friends, eating good food, singing familiar songs, hunting eggs, telling stories and having a great time! Here are a few pictures from Easter day. The boys and I spent the morning at home, and then we drove down the mountain to meet daddy after a long trip! They were excited to get on the road!

The two sweetest boys we have ever known! Being a parent has made me even more incredibly grateful for the gift that Jesus gave us when he rose from the dead!

They love to ride their bikes on the patio. Noah usually rides the small one while Caleb rides the bigger bike. Of course, there are times when they both want to ride one bike!

He is getting so big, so fast! He has definitely lost his "baby" face this year. He is such a handsome little boy with a great heart!

He had fun hunting the Easter eggs. He was so surprised when he found out there was candy inside the egg! This was his first Easter egg hunt.

Noah just had fun playing in the yard with all of the other kids. He did a great job playing. Every now and again I would hear him crying...it was as if he suddenly realized that we weren't right next to him (but he had forgotten as he was having fun playing!).

Our Time in America

Noah is such a little monkey. We find him in the craziest places. This time, he found his way to the top of the table to do a little dance.

All smiles just before his ear surgery. We are so grateful the Lord led us to have this surgery done in America before we left. He is a different kid will balance and no ear pressure/pain.

Noah leads the way in most mischief so far. He climbed into the dryer on his own and then Caleb decided it would be fun to join him!

Noah got to ride a cow on his Great Aunt's farm while we were home. We couldn't convince Caleb that it was a good idea though!

Due to many comments on an impending mullet, Noah got his first hair cut while we were home as well. Happy to report he is mullet free now.

Both of the boys LOVED going to the swimming pool. It was pretty amazing to get the chance to swim in the dead of winter.

Noah really loves sweets and he thoroughly enjoyed his birthday cupcake.

We were all sick around his birthday, so we didn't get to celebrate until Christmas. It was great to celebrate with cousins though!

He got a caterpillar cake for his birthday...the kids all loved it!

He discovered stairs while we were home. He only fell down them once and has since learned to slide down on his belly (thanks to his Nana).

We opened presents the day after his birthday even though we were all still feeling puny.

Caleb got to pick out his first real Christmas tree with his Grandad. This is a family tradition that will carry on for many years to come. My dad loves to find the trees and Caleb has fun going out with him!

This was my Christmas present...a 10ft. real, live cedar tree for Christmas! You can imagine it was interesting hauling it into the house!

Again, Noah starting into mischief with Caleb following behind. Caleb has a healthy fear of heights and Noah would jump off a cliff if we would let him.

Sorry....a bit out of order. Caleb had a great time finding the tree with his Grandad.

The church is just across the street so the boys enjoyed playing in the gym many afternoons when it was too cold to be outside.

Caleb got to experience snow for the first time. Jared and I were out of town for my surgery, but my mom got to show him his first snow. It wasn't impressive.

Not to be mistaken, Caleb can get into mischief on his own!

The boys didn't enjoy being buckled into car seats while we were home, but they did have to take the occasional nap in them.

We got to spend some great time snuggling in the mornings with daddy while we were home!

Whoops!!

I'm so sorry we haven't updated this blog in over 2 months. I try and add something at least once a month. When I went to add photos this last time, our internet went out. It took us a little over a month to get it restored. So, enjoy these pics of the boys! They are growing so fast!

Again, due to a complete lack of time (and let's be honest, laziness) these are just random photos of some cute boys. One of these days I'll take the time to be creative. Until then, enjoy the simplicity of my posts!

This place is really pretty incredible for a village in India! Caleb loves to play with all of their displays.

This has to be one of my favorite pictures of all time. We were trying to keep him awake so he could sleep on the way to the science center in Kalimpong.

This picture sums up this kid in every way possible. He is cute, fun-loving, laid back pretty all around awesome kid (you know except when he's tackling his brother or poking him in his eyes)!

This kids loves food! He isn't so smitten with milk though. Funnily enough his brother was the opposite.

While Jared was out of town, I had to take the boys to our helper's, brother's, cousin's, daughter's wedding. Caleb had his first major accident just prior to the wedding. He and the kids downstairs were running in circles and he ran headlong into a concrete pillar. I couldn't get his head to stop bleeding to save my life. So, I took him to the wedding with steri-strips and blood oozing down his forehead. Needless to say, everyone was horrified and thought I needed to take him to the hospital.

Noah won't be in this walker much longer. He loves to use it to run around fast out on the patio, but now that he is mobile, he would just as soon crawl around and pull up on the furniture in the living room and not be confined to the walker.

Catching Up

It's been quite some time since I have put any pictures of the boys on the blog. Each time I sit down to add some more something happens and it doesn't get done. So in no particular order, here are a few photos of the boys' lives this summer.

Noah has really come to love his walker. He gets around pretty well in it and loves to go out on the patio with it. Not a good thing for his socks during monsoon, but he loves it!

When we have to be inside, we line the toys up on the furniture and goes around collecting.

Every time I tried to get Noah to smile, Caleb would tickle him and stop smiling at the camera himself. So we just gave it up!

This is one of my favorite picture of all time! Noah has the absolute best big brother in the world. He is going to grow up loving him and they are going to be great friends!

Caleb was sharing his cheerios with him one morning. It was the first time they have really interacted (and it was over food...Lord help me with these boys!). Caleb would give him one cheerio and he would chew it up. Then Noah would reach over and pull on Caleb's shirt and babble until Caleb gave him another one. We've since had to stop this fun morning ritual due to Noah's tummy. The new foods were bothering him so we just stopped everything to try again another day when he is older.

Caleb came in one morning after I fed Noah. They were snuggling under the blankets together. Of course, he had to bring his little brother a toy...he never lets Noah be without a toy!

Neither of my boys have been in love with the doorway jumper. He jumps in it for a little bit, but he tires of it quickly. If you are sitting right there with him he will jump a bit longer.

Our best friends from the States came and spent a little over 2 weeks with us. It was absolutely amazing! We never dreamed 10 years ago when we first met their family that we would one day be sitting together in our living room overseas with all of our children. It is amazing what the Lord chooses to do in our lives and how He blesses us!

Noah is in love. He is absolutely in love with our house helper, Sabitrya. He can simply hear her voice and start smiling (even if he can't see her). He can be in the middle of a little outburst of tears and stop as soon as she coos at him. It is pretty amazing!

He doesn't get to see her husband as often, but he likes him pretty well too!

They came over one night and we all made a ton of momos. It was one of the most memorable moments of our time with the Jenkins!

Those Eyes...

Our sweet baby No No (more often these days though...brother Noah) is as sweet as the day is long. Even on those "long" days, when I lay him down at night, those eyes speak volumes. I have never known anyone who speaks through their eyes like Noah does. I can just watch his eyes and before he ever speaks or makes a move, I can tell what he is feeling. His smiles always start in his eyes, as does his cries. Perhaps this is one of those things that only his mother will ever know and enjoy, but I love every precious minute of gazing into his eyes. The rims of his eyes get red when he is sleepy. He raises his eyebrows when he is enjoying whatever he is eating. He can raise just his left eyebrow when he is curious about something. He can plead with me to rescue him from his ever loving brother. He can break your heart when his spit up is rising in his throat and burning just a bit. At the end of the day, he can stare into your eyes forever, unmoving, just resting in peace. I love how he speaks with his eyes!! He still isn't a fan of being on his tummy, but he will hang out for a little bit like this.

We finally figured out bath time. It only took us 4 months! He likes to be bathed on the bed or some other soft surface. We finally are getting smiles instead of tears during bath time.

Of course...here is one of our goofy toddler. He was playing in the rain one afternoon. He loves to find the puddles and splash!
