In Christ Alone

As many of you know, this process of becoming parents has been a journey for us. Even before Caleb's conception, we began seeking the Lord for His wisdom, guidance and patience as He brought us to this place. Shortly after we conceived Caleb, we left our home and family and came to India. We found ourselves seeking the Lord in so many ways. Through the process of finding a doctor that we were comfortable with and a hospital where we could deliver, we sought the Lord. Along the way, there were so many trials that we walked through. Then the day came when he arrived in this world, and we realized that the journey has just begun. Each day, something new comes up that we feel inadequate to handle. Daily, we have to return to the Lord and confess that we are incapable and that it is only in Christ alone that we can care for this precious gift from the Lord. Daily, we find ourselves holding on too tight to something that is not ours to hold on to. Many times, we have to place Caleb back into the hands of His loving Father and allow the Lord to guide us as we care for him. So many of you have been praying for us as we learn and grow in this new journey. We praise God for your faithful prayers and words of encouragement and wisdom. We serve an amazing God! To Him be the glory and honor for the life of our son!

There are times when he cries and we just can't seem to soothe him. After those moments, we feel exhausted and horrible. Then, one of these moments comes along and it completely erases the memory of your baby crying and upset.
